Test Tube

Laboratory glassware is ubiquitous in various laboratories, with the test tube being the most versatile and widely used among them. Its long, cylindrical shape, resembling a finger, makes it suitable for both biological and chemical experiments.

The test tube's design and material vary depending on the nature and purpose of the experiment. In chemistry labs, test tubes are used to test the properties of chemicals and gases, while in microbiology labs, they are employed for preparing culture media, collecting samples, and holding fluids.

Characterized by a closed bottom and an open top, most test tubes feature a slightly curved or spherical base. The length and diameter of test tubes vary widely, ranging from small Durham tubes to larger culture tubes, each serving a specific purpose.
